Four pillars through 2030

Electrification

  • 2025 — first high-capacity battery wheel loader pilots
  • 2027 — electrified rigid-hauler support packages
  • 2030 — zero-diesel quarry option for contracted fleets

Autonomy

  • 2025 — supervised tele-remote loader cycles
  • 2027 — Level-4 haul convoy partnerships
  • 2030 — unsupervised pit loading pilots

Digital Twin

  • 2026 — full AEMP / ISO 15143-3 telematics feed
  • 2028 — predictive pin & filter replacement
  • 2030 — site-wide twin for stockpile fleets

Hydrogen Pilots

Programs & partners we co-design with

Since 1972 SDLG has grown to roughly 5,200 people, 600,000 m² of production footprint and about 30,000 units annually across 120 countries — always with contractor and quarry operators in the loop.

Plant audits typically review operating weight classes on the dyno, bucket capacity (m³) verification against ISO 7546, breakout force on densified aggregate, pilot pressure baselines and final drive oil temperatures after a loaded haul-road cycle. Those checks matter more to fleet finance than a slogan about “innovation,” because residual value tracks documented undercarriage and axle wear — not brochure horsepower alone.

Electrification pilots do not pretend diesel disappears overnight. On remote berms and arid pits, diesel wheel loaders still win on fuel logistics; on fixed quarry pads with grid power, battery-electric loaders cut scope-1 hours during night stockpile shifts. We publish both paths with ground pressure (kPa) and cooling-package notes so buyers can compare total cost of ownership without guessing.
